About Me
First and foremost,
I am a passionate teacher and performer
I will actively help you to achieve any singing or performance goals that you may have.
Whether it’s singing for fun, preparing for a special performance (singing at your sister’s wedding!), doing an exam, auditioning for a show or getting your own Cabaret Show organised; I’m up for it.
Background and Interests
I’ve been singing and teaching for many years
I started off as a Classical Singer which was my focus while I was completing my B. Ed-Mus. As well as presenting many Classical Recitals, I also pursued my passion for Musical Theatre. During this time, I was teaching a significant
number of secondary school students who were showing great interest in contemporary vocal styles. In answer to this, I commenced studying contemporary vocal production and absolutely loved it.
As my journey progressed, becoming even more drawn to contemporary voice and Musical Theatre, I decided that I had to pursue it seriously. I then completed a Musical Theatre course at the National Theatre in St Kilda and by the time
I was completing my graduation showcase performance, “Use What You’ve Got”, I was already starting rehearsals for “Topol’s Fiddler on the Roof” at the Regent Theatre, Melbourne. Following on from this were corporate gigs, Cabarets,
singing in a Jazz Band, doing keyboards and vocals in a Covers Band, a few more shows, VCE assessing, adjudicating eisteddfodau, conducting Masterclasses and teaching.
My interest in these areas continues with an ongoing desire to update and develop my knowledge.

Client Testimonials
Don’t take my word for it – here’s what my clients say:
Erika introduced me to the wonderful world of song, from Musical Theatre to Jazz and a myriad of other styles in between. During my time with her, studying for VCE and tertiary auditions, she was incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. She was the first teacher I had to teach me to act through song and I credit her as an original inspiration to pursue my passion.
Willow Sizer
Musical Theatre Student, VCA
I absolutely loved taking singing lessons from Erika! I had never taken lessons before and have always thought that I’m a terrible singer. But Erika made me feel very comfortable exploring my voice and I could see great progress already from lesson one (testified by my husband as well). Erika listens to your voice and teaches you hands on tips on how to use it the best, while also working methodically to strengthen your voice over time. She puts effort into you, not only during the lessons but before and after as well by sending over practice material. But most importantly she is passionate about your development, which makes you have a lot of fun while also growing in your singing lesson by lesson. Thank you so much Erika!

Student
While working with Erika, she helped me find the inner strength and confidence that is absolutely necessary in the performing arts. Being a musician is a hard business, and Erika has always encouraged me to work hard to become a better vocalist, a better performer, and a better all-around musician. I am very glad that I had her as a teacher during some of my most formative musical years.
